Machine Data Analytics section in EXD product group (EXD) is seeking a data analytics engineer. This position will plan and execute an alley of data analytics that support the development of new products, features, and services as well as product support for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan big data collection from global population of IoT construction machines
• Configure telematics systems for data transmission
• Collect large-scaled telematics data and construct databases
• Collaborate with CAT Digital to maximize the usability of the big data via enterprise systems
• Analyze and interpret data to provide value-added insights to support product design & development
• Implement trending, prediction, and alert features with data science, machine learning, and AI tools
• Visualize and present analysis results with BI tools
• Automate big data analysis processes using AI

• キャタピラー社デジタル部門と協業し基幹システムによるデータ可用性の最大化

• データサイエンス・機械学習・AIを駆使して傾向分析、予測、警告機能を実装
• BIツールを用いた分析結果の視覚化とプレゼンテーション
• ビッグデータ分析プロセスの自動化およびAI活用

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in an engineering or scientific field
• Minimum three years of work experience as a mechanical or IT engineer in a relevant technical domain
• Ability to leverage technical expertise to contribute to effective project execution
• Basic communication skills in business English
• Ability to apply logical thinking and statistical approaches
• Interest in the development of Caterpillar products such as hydraulic excavators
• 理工学系　学士号・修士号・博士号　取得者
• 機械系もしくはIT系エンジニアとして、いずれかの領域で3年以上の実務経験を持つ方
• 専門性を活かしてプロジェクト推進に貢献できる方
• 英語で基本的な業務コミュニケーションがとれる方
• 論理的・統計的思考が得意な方
• 油圧ショベル等キャタピラー製品の開発に興味がある方

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Practical knowledge of construction machinery and their applications
• Basic programming and machine learning experience (e.g., Python, DevOps)
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, MySQL)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
• Strong intellectual curiosity
