Role Definition

We are looking for an Automation Lead to drive **quality, reliability, and faster delivery for the Mine Star application **through automation‑first testing practices. The role works closely with QA Engineers, Product, Architecture, and Platform teams to ensure Mine Star’s site‑critical workflows, services are validated at scale as the platform modernizes.

Experience Required

• 6+ years of experience in Test Automation / Validation
• Proven experience leading and mentoring QA automation teams

Key Responsibilities

• Lead automation efforts to accelerate Mine Star releases while maintaining high standards of quality and safety for mining operations.
• Define and implement Mine Star‑specific test strategies, metrics, and KPIs to assess product quality and release readiness.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks covering Mine Star UI, APIs, services, and data flows.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous validation during Mine Star modernization and re‑platforming.
• Collaborate closely with Test Leads, Product Managers, System Architects, and Platform teams to align quality with Mine Star’s target architecture.
• Mentor QA engineers (manual and automation) and support their transition to automation‑first, quality‑engineered practices.

Skills Descriptor

• Hands‑on experience with automation test frameworks (BDD – Cucumber with Java).
• Experience validating Microservices‑based systems and On prem applications.
• Proficiency in API testing and database validation, including SQL query writing.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD‑integrated automation harnesses.
• Strong understanding of Agile testing practices and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Experience with test estimation, automation code reviews, and framework design.
• Solid foundation in software test engineering methodologies and processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with global, cross‑functional Mine Star teams.

AI‑Enabled Testing

• Use AI‑assisted tools to speed up test creation, regression analysis, and defect identification.
• Promote responsible and governed use of AI within test automation practices.
