Job Summary:

As a Shop Cleaner, you will perform all janitorial, custodial, and cleaning duties to ensure that all offices, restrooms, lunchrooms, and shop areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Following pre-set arrangement may run errands for plant personnel as needed. Will perform with a minimum of supervision and/or direction to complete predefined duties. May perform any number of the duties listed, but not necessarily all of them depending on what hours are assigned.
What You Will Do (including but not limited to):

• Perform a variety of janitorial duties.
• Operate mechanical and/or manual equipment as required to perform effective cleaning procedure including but not limited to floor scrubber.
• May perform yard work as needed.
• Gather soiled rags and prepare them for pickup. Delivers clean rags.
• Check Emergency lights, exit lights, SPCC containers and fire extinguishers.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Clean respirators and maintain records to that effect.
• Using a company vehicle may pick up or deliver supplies, or other materials as required.
• Shovel snow from entries as required.
• Keep work area and supply storage area in neat and orderly fashion at all times.
• Meet or exceeds accepted cleaning standards.
• Work safely at ALL times and comply with safety regulations.
• Offer suggestions related to improving work process, procedures, productivity, job safety or work environment.
• Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager, or another designated person.
• Perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems. Must also maintain a good working relationship with others within the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems.
• Maintain a good working relationship with others within the organization.

Top Candidates will also have:

• Janitorial experience.
• Prior experience operating a floor scrubber.

Additional Information:

• Weekend Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM.
• This position receives a 40-hour paycheck for 36 scheduled hours.
• This is an on-site position in Hodges, SC.

Summary Pay Range:

$16.80 - $21.40
