Role Definition:

The TIS (Technical Information Solutions) team within LEPS (Large Electric Power Solutions) is seeking a detail-oriented specialist to develop and maintain accurate parts and service information for Global Solution Products in SIS (Service Information System). In this role, you will deliver precise technical and parts documentation for RTS (Ready to Ship) products at first delivery and closely track engineering revisions to ensure all information remains current with product updates. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to project timelines and quality standards, and effective collaboration with cross functional teams to support successful product launches and long-term serviceability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release technical parts and service information in SIS.
• Monitor and update documentation based on engineering revisions and BoM changes.
• Ensure all deliverables meet project timelines and quality expectations.
• Manages and acts on dealer feedback
• Validate part information to prevent mismatches or service-impacting errors.
• Coordinate with engineering product teams and service teams for data alignment.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of all technical information.
• Support field readiness by ensuring service teams have correct up-to-date content.

Skill Descriptors

Technical Documentation Skills: Ability to create, structure and maintain accurate parts and service information with strong attention to detail and clarity.

Engineering Change Management: Skill in interpreting BoM changes and engineering revision updates to ensure documentation remains current and complaint.

Product & Systems Knowledge: Understanding of Custom Solution Products, parts structures, assemblies and service workflow, along with familiarity with SIS.

Data Accuracy & Validation: Capability to verify part information, detect mismatches and ensure high-quality, error-free technical data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively coordinates with engineering product teams and service teams to align information and resolve issues.

Project & Time Management: Proven ability to meet project milestones, handles multiple tasks and deliver on time with consistent quality.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to convey technical details clearly and support stakeholders effectively.

Tools & System Proficiency: Hand-on experience with documentation systems (Adobe Frame Maker, Canvas, 3DS Max, Vertex, etc.,), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tool-Teamcenter and data management workflows.

Understanding Caterpillar processes and tools like SIS 2.0 (Service Information System), engineering tools (Creo), EDS (Engineering Data Systems), PRWB (Product Release Workbench Desktop), and data management workflows.

Quality & Compliance Focus: Commitment to adhering to quality standards, documentation guidelines and process consistency.

Considerations for Top Candidates:

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of progressively responsible work experience.
• Strong understanding of Caterpillar engineering and release processes.
• Proven success working in global, cross-functional teams.
• Strong change management and stakeholders' alignment capability.
