The Large Engine Center in Lafayette, IN has an EHS Manager role which will provide leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a large facility.

This position reports to the Sr. EHS Manager.
Responsibilities:
-
Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.

Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
-
Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
-
Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.

Leads a team of 3-5 technicians who assist in operational safety improvements.
Top Candidates will have:

3+ years’ experience working in Environmental, Health and Safety
-
Experience leading/managing technicians and/or teams
-
Experience in Incident/Case Management
-
Experience managing EHS projects and/or teams

Determines criteria for assessing vendors which may have potential environmental impact.

Formulates health and safety plans and policies, e.g. a fire safety plan and road safety policy.

Trains employees on HSE policy compliance and measures understanding.

Collaborates across multiple departments to facilitate EHS management.
Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
