About the role

This role will be responsible for HVAC & R component and overall design and development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• HVAC & R component and overall design and development.

• Designing of Heat exchangers, refrigeration cycle and it’s balancing in test laboratory.

• Handling Product development projects from concept to launch (concept, design, reviews, validation, and product launch).

• Work closely with sourcing, supply chain & vendors for part development.

• Coordinate with sales / service / quality team to address customer queries / complaints.

• Product Customization as per India business specific requirement

• VAVE for Light Commercial products

• Upgrade products to meet regulatory requirement (BEE / QCO / other compliance.)

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

M.Tech: Would be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Target experience level: 4~ 6 years

HVAC Light commercial / VRF & Residential new product development. required as below:

• Strong in design software. ProE / Creo, Solid Works, AutoCAD mandatory

Prior experience must be in sheet metal and plastic part design development & manufacturing

• Knowledge of Materials ( SM , Plastic & others)

• Prior experience in tool design, processes & Qualification

• Should have gone extensively through ECR / ECIN process.

• Should have experience in BOM preparation , costing , routing etc.

• Experience in CAD documentation management

• Experience in VAVE / Cost reduction projects

• Should be able to work independently on design based on inputs given by supplier/engineers.

• Should be able to work along with Cross functional team and vendor for design closure.

• Knowledge of Tolerancing, GD&T , FMEA, PPAP & Quality system process

• Knowledge of stage gate process is preferable.

• Experience in Product management

• Multiple project handling skills

• Able to translate voice of customer to product design & specifications.

• Proficient in system balancing.

• Electrical/ controls logic & its component selection knowledge

OTHER COMPETENCIES:

• Good communication skills - oral and written.

• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

• Passionate about building high-quality data management systems with implementation of best practices.

• Understanding and responding quickly to customer issues.
