About the role

This role will be responsible for Greenfield Project Execution, Plant Maintenance Management, Utilities & Facility Management and Cost & Performance Management

Key Responsibilities

1.

Greenfield Project Execution:

  • Lead end-to-end maintenance and facility planning for new plant setup.

  • Involved in layout finalization, utility planning, and infrastructure design.

  • Vendor selection, technical evaluation, and project execution.

  • Installation & commissioning of:

  • HVAC manufacturing lines (coil lines, assembly lines, testing lines) • Utilities (compressors, chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, transformers, ETP/STP) • Budget planning and CAPEX control.

  • Ensure project completion within timeline and cost.

2.

Plant Maintenance Management:

  • Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance systems.

  • Make Daily/Monthly plan as per Maintenance schedule

  • Breakdown analysis and root cause elimination.

  • Spare parts inventory optimization.

  • Implement TPM / Lean Maintenance practices.

3.

Utilities & Facility Management:

  • Electrical systems (HT/LT panels, transformers)

  • Compressed air systems

  • Water systems & cooling towers

  • Firefighting systems

  • Building maintenance & civil upkeep

  • Energy monitoring and reduction initiatives.

  • Implement sustainability initiatives.

4.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure statutory compliance (Electrical Inspector, Pollution Control Board, Factory Inspector).

  • Implement safety standards and zero-accident culture.

  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.

  • Ensure ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 compliance.

5. Team Leadership

  • Lead maintenance engineers, technicians, and facility teams.

  • Develop skill matrix and training programs.

  • Build a strong problem-solving culture.

  • Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.

6.

Cost & Performance Management:

  • Prepare annual maintenance budgets.

  • Monitor maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE impact).

  • Drive cost reduction through reliability improvement.

  • AMC management and contractor supervision.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Equipment Uptime %

  • MTBF & MTTR improvement

  • Energy cost per unit

  • Maintenance cost % of production

  • Zero statutory non-compliance

  • Successful Greenfield project milestones

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • Additional certification in TPM / Reliability Engineering preferred

Experience Required

  • 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing industry.

  • Minimum 5+ years leading maintenance & facility function.

  • Must have executed at least one Greenfield project

  • Strong exposure to utilities and industrial infrastructure setup.
