Build a career with confidence

Carrier Global Corporation, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions is committed to creating solutions that matter for people and our planet for generations to come. From the beginning, we've led in inventing new technologies and entirely new industries. Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.

About the role

As a Supplier Development & Readiness Leader, you will play a critical role in strengthening the supply base by ensuring key suppliers have the operational capability, capacity, and processes required to support production and business growth.

This role focuses on driving supplier recovery, operational excellence, and readiness initiatives across critical suppliers. You will work closely with sourcing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to stabilize supplier performance, improve operational processes, and ensure suppliers are prepared for new product introductions, technology transitions, and production ramp-ups.

Your work will directly impact supplier performance metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Supplier Past Due (SPTD) while enabling a more resilient and scalable supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

As a Supplier Development & Readiness Leader, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading supplier development and recovery initiatives for critical and at-risk suppliers to stabilize performance and improve operational capability.

  • Validating supplier production capacity, resource allocation, tooling, staffing, and manufacturing processes to ensure alignment with operational requirements.

  • Driving root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing structured recovery and improvement plans to resolve supplier performance issues.

  • Overseeing operational improvement initiatives at supplier sites, including capacity expansion, throughput optimization, cycle-time reduction, and operational excellence practices such as Lean and Six Sigma.

  • Ensuring supplier readiness for business growth by supporting new product introductions (NPI), technology transitions, production ramp-ups, and SIOP-driven demand cycles while collaborating with sourcing, engineering, and supply chain teams.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are analytical, collaborative, hands-on, and capable of driving operational improvements across complex supplier networks. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • 8+ years of experience in Supplier Development, Manufacturing, Operations, Supplier Quality, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Strong experience conducting supplier capacity audits, operational readiness assessments, and hands-on process improvement initiatives.

  • Proven ability to lead supplier recovery and transformation initiatives to stabilize operational performance.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sourcing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies.

  • Experience working directly with suppliers in manufacturing environments or shop-floor settings.

  • Experience supporting supplier readiness for NPI, technology transitions, or production ramp-ups.

We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees, and enhancing our programs when necessary.

  • Have peace of mind and body with our health insurance
