Role: Senior Manager, Risk Management

Location: Hybrid / Dublin office

Contract type: Full time, permanent

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an enterprise-wide risk management function for a dynamic multinational company. As part of a small, high-performing team, the Risk Manager will collaborate with multiple corporate departments and business functions to support Carrier's enterprise-wide insurance programs and needs, be highly involved and in certain cases leading risk management business partners, insurance brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators.

This role will be based in Ireland at Carrier’s Dublin office (Treasury Centre) , while supporting global operations.

What will you be doing?

• Work within a team responsible for the delivery of extraordinary customer service and outcomes as it relates to key Carrier Risk Management processes, including
• Asset Protection/Property Loss Control, Claims Management, Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures, Contract Reviews, Risk Financing/Insurance Program Management, Cost Forecasting
• Support or manage placement and service delivery of assigned master, global insurance programs.
• Support Carrier’s entities to ensure compliance with local policies and regulatory insurance requirements.
• Provide direction to business units on insured and non-insured liability and property risk exposures.
• Manage brokers, insurers, and TPA’s for assigned insurance programs to assure continuity of the programs and quality of risk management services provided to Carrier Business stakeholders.
• Provide periodic updates on material Risk Management projects and issues to Carrier Risk Management department leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in corporate risk management, commercial insurance, or insurance brokerage.
• CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) qualification or higher required
• Experience with large, complex property & casualty insurance programs (e.g., fronted programs, alternative risk programs, captive, structured insurance) preferred.
• Experience with risk management information systems (RMIS) preferred .
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements.
• Solid understanding of commercial insurance lines (property, general liability, auto, umbrella/excess, etc.) and how global insurance programs operate.
• Insurance broker experience preferred.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities without compromising accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset. Capable of building relationships in a diverse, global environment and delivering exceptional customer service to internal clients.
• A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
