About the role

The Sr. Manager – Commodity Management & Sourcing (Professional Services) is responsible for developing and executing the global sourcing strategy for assigned Professional Services categories in alignment with Carrier’s long‑term objectives. This role plays a critical part in improving efficiency, reducing risk, increasing value, and building strong global programs that deliver optimal cost savings and operational excellence.

The Professional Services portfolio includes a broad set of categories such as: Consulting, Finance, Banking, Legal, Travel, Fleet, Marketing, Human Resources, Contingent Labor, Engineering, and EH&S Services.This spend is highly complex and requires strong partnership with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

As a senior leader, you will provide end‑to‑end category oversight, strategic direction, supplier management, and program execution to deliver world‑class sourcing results.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Manager – Commodity Mgmt & Sourcing, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic leadership and category oversight, including sourcing execution, negotiations, contract implementation, and performance management against established targets.

  • Managing key supplier relationships, communicating strategy changes, executing joint initiatives, and overseeing supplier contract negotiations.

  • Supporting supplier diversity initiatives and driving continuous improvement through preferred supplier programs.

  • Conducting operational and spend analysis, developing annual sourcing strategies, leading supplier negotiations, supplier performance management, and operational support.

  • Building and maintaining relationships across all organizational levels to develop optimal sourcing solutions.

  • Identifying business demand requirements and partnering with Business Units to deliver annual value improvements and competitive advantage.

  • Managing overall relationships with multiple strategic suppliers within the assigned categories.

  • Leading the sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.

  • Identifying, developing, and implementing supply chain goals and category strategies based on deep subject‑matter expertise and market knowledge.

  • Escalating issues impacting supply chain performance and managing risk effectively.

  • Leading multiple initiatives and ensuring accurate program and spend tracking through strong project management capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with5+ years of experience.

  • Strong management and leadership experience, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and complex initiatives.

  • Consultancy and Professional Services procurement experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes and supplier management.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree.

  • Experience leading global teams.

  • Strong business judgment with the ability to drive strategy and results.

  • Ability to excel in dynamic and fast‑paced environments.

  • Skilled in resolving complex problems with both qualitative and quantitative variables.

  • Strong business acumen and executive‑level communication abilities.
