Carrier’s Digital Sales and Service (DSS) Center of Excellence (COE) team is enabling higher digital customer experience capabilities throughout the enterprise. Through centralized investment in technology, talent, and business transformation the team aims to solidify Carrier’s position as a leader in sales enablement, service, digital commerce spaces.

This person will collaborate and work closely with the DSS COE product, engineering, and implementation teams to meet roadmap and new initiative commitments. This involves understanding the requirements thoroughly, gauging impact on current modules/functionalities and supporting the delivery of technical initiatives with focus on quality assurance and bug free deliverables, within specific timeframes and budgets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support digital PODs developing scalable e-commerce solutions across channels, using enterprise commerce platforms, third-party system integrations, and tailored capabilities for individual business units.

• Build knowledge of business processes with an expectation for facilitating continuous improvement.

• Communicate issues impacting daily operations to the business team and provide solutions and updates on resolution.

• Builds and manages custom themes, features,apps for Shopify stores.

• Proficient in Frontend skillset along with Shopify Specific skillset.

• Write clean optimized code using Hydrogen framework and components to achieve custom business requirements.

• Integrate with GraphQL and Storefront APIs to fetch and display data.

• Support the integration(middleware) team with proper mutations/mapping for data sync between Shopify and ERP, PIM, Payment Gateways and Marketing systems.

• Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues related to features & functionalities and various integrations.

Key Skills:

• Experience working on global, multi-year initiatives with cross-functional teams.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of best practices across ecommerce, version control and continuous upgrades (API/codebase).

• Proven ability to work within globally distributed virtual teams, contribute to projects and deliver results in a diverse, global stakeholder environment

• Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.

• Team player with a positive, collaborative work ethic.

Basic Qualifications:

• Overall 4+ yrs of experience with 2+ years of experience working with Shopify, Shopify Plus, Magento, or similar enterprise Ecommerce applications.

• Understanding of enterprise level Ecommerce eco-system, which involves ERP, Marketing, Analytics integrations

• Fluent spoken and written English

Shopify Skillset

• Front-end technologies: Knowledge of React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is fundamental, since Hydrogen is a React framework.

• APIs: Understanding and exposure to Shopify Storefront API and GraphQL mutations/queries to fetch and manipulate data.

• Frameworks: Remix.run, since Hydrogen uses.

• Version Control: Hands on experience working with version controlled codebase, e.g. GitHub.

• Shopify: Shopify Plus exposure & liquid templating language, Shopify Custom Apps and Extensions, Hydrogen components, tools and Shopify CLI. Deep knowledge and hands on experience working with Shopify Metafields and Metaobjects. Exposure to B2B set up.
