角色职责:

Carrier is seeking a Senior Data Center Modeling Engineer to join the MASC (Modeling, Analysis, Simulation, and Computation) team in Shanghai. This role is a senior technical position responsible for leading modeling activities for data center cooling and mission‑critical thermal systems, while contributing to technology strategy, project execution, and talent development.

The MASC team develops and deploys state‑of‑the‑art modeling tools and model‑based development workflows used across Carrier’s global engineering centers. In this position, you will play a key role in advancing high‑fidelity system modeling, digital engineering capability, and simulation‑driven decision making for data center air‑conditioning, refrigeration, and thermal infrastructure solutions.

• Provide expertise of heat transfer and thermodynamics in the development of high efficiency and environmentally friendly HVAC/R systems.

• Development of physics-based models for data center cooling and thermal infrastructure.

• Define model requirements, modeling strategies, and validation plans to ensure model accuracy and robustness.

• Lead model-based development (MBD) workflows for component- and system-level design of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

• Collaborate with global engineering, product development, and advanced technology teams.

• Coach, review, and delegate work to junior engineers, supporting technical skill development within the modeling team.

• Manage moderately sized projects or processes.

最低要求:

• MS degree or above in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning or fluid machinery (MS with 5+ years working experience).

• Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics

• Solid experience in 1D thermal‑fluid system modeling

• Engineering experience in design or application of HVAC/R or Power plant equipment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to collaborate across functions.

• knowledge of modeling discipline.
