About the role As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading and developing high-quality engineering design solutions that meet technical, regulatory, cost, quality, and timeline requirements. This position serves as a technical reference within the organization, actively contributing to conceptual and detailed design activities while collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, project teams, and customers to deliver innovative and reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and validating engineering designs from conceptual phase through detailed design.

  • Leading mechanical design activities with a strong focus on performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.

  • Analyzing customer technical requirements and translating them into feasible and robust design solutions.

  • Creating, reviewing, and maintaining engineering drawings, 3D models, technical specifications, and documentation.

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable engineering standards and codes (ASHRAE, ISO, ASME, and others as applicable).

  • Participating in and leading technical discussions and Design Reviews.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, procurement, project management, and service.

  • Supporting validation processes, testing, start-ups, and commissioning activities when required.

  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities in design, processes, and products.

  • Providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.

  • Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.

  • Executing and managing engineering changes (ECNs/ECRs/MCNs) in compliance with drafting standards, GD&T, and internal specifications.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design.

  • Proven experience in mechanical systems design.

  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or engineering project environments.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and system analysis.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with engineering change management processes (ECR / ECN).

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

  • Tools & Systems

  • CAD design software such as Solid Works, Creo Parametric, or similar.

  • Windchill PLM, including BOM management, ECN/ECR workflows, and product structures.

  • Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience working under international engineering standards.

  • Prior mentorship or technical leadership experience.

  • Exposure to cross-site or global engineering teams.
