The AME Regional Quality Leader will set the strategic quality direction for all factories and product groups across Asia. This role is accountable for ensuring our regional quality systems, product performance, field reliability, and customer experience consistently meet or exceed Carrier’s global standards.

This leader will partner closely with regional Operation Head, global quality leadership, Engineering, and service organizations to drive cross-site alignment, customer-centricity, and sustainable quality excellence.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong business maturity, cross-cultural leadership capability, and a proven ability to influence across a complex, matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Quality Strategy & Governance

  • Define and execute the regional quality strategy aligned with global Carrier Quality policy and business objectives.

  • Harmonize quality systems, standards, and processes across multiple factories and product lines in the AME region.

  • Establish a regional governance model to ensure transparency, accountability, and performance rhythm across all sites.

  • Lead quality risk management, escalation protocols, and proactive prevention mechanisms across development, manufacturing, and field operations.

Product Development & Advanced Quality

  • Provide strategic oversight for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for all regional NPI programs.

  • Ensure early involvement and strong quality advocacy during product architecture, supplier selection, design validation, and program readiness reviews.

  • Drive regional deployment of FMEA, PPAP, DOE, MSA, SPC and other global quality tools.

  • Partner with global engineering and R&D centers to embed customer-focused design and reliability discipline into all new product platforms.

Manufacturing Quality Excellence

  • Set regional manufacturing quality targets (DPMO, FPY, RTY, COPQ) and ensure consistent measurement and reporting across factories.

  • Lead systematic defect elimination by driving structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and robust corrective action.

  • Support plants in meeting regulatory, compliance, and Carrier global quality requirements.

  • Accelerate digital quality transformation and data-driven decision-making across the region.

Field Quality & Customer Experience

  • Oversee field reliability and service quality performance across AME markets, including complaint handling, warranty analytics, and technical support systems.

  • Ensure rapid containment, robust corrective actions, and cross-site learning for field issues.

  • Build strong feedback loops with customers, distributors, and service partners to proactively identify product risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Strengthen collaboration with service engineering, product management, and commercial teams to enhance lifecycle quality and brand trust.

Leadership & Change Management

  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and customer‑obsessed quality culture across the region.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop quality leaders across all AME sites; build organizational capability for long-term sustainability.

  • Influence senior stakeholders with data‑driven insights and a strategic business mindset.

  • Champion The Carrier Way—empowering inclusion, continuous improvement, and uncompromising integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; international academic background strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in quality, engineering, or operations, preferably in HVAC or high‑volume manufacturing environments.

  • At least 7+ years in multi‑site or regional/global leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated success in building and leading complex quality organizations across diverse cultures and geographies.

  • Deep expertise in global quality systems, advanced quality tools, and structured problem‑solving methodologies (Six Sigma Black Belt preferred).

  • Strong business acumen, executive presence, and ability to influence senior leaders.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
