Key Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise integration architecture connecting ERP (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, etc.) with CRM, MES, PLM, Data, Finance, and third-party systems.

  • Act as the platform owner for middleware and API technologies including:Boomi (i PaaS) Layer7 / Broadcom API Gateway , Other middleware (Mule Soft, SAP CPI, Kafka, ESB, event streaming – as applicable)

  • Define and enforce integration standards, patterns, and best practices.

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain end-to-end integrations using Boomi Atom Sphere (Application Integration, API Management, Cloud Integration).

  • Design and manage APIs using an API Management platform (Boomi API Management or Layer 7 or equivalent).

  • Build API-first, service-oriented, reusable and discoverable services aligned to enterprise standards.

  • Review and approve integration designs, APIs, mappings, error handling, and security models.

  • Ensure integrations are scalable, reusable, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.

  • Develop custom logic using JavaScript and/or Java within Boomi processes.

  • Serve as the integration backbone owner for ERP programs, including SAP S/4HANA implementations and rollouts.

  • Partner with ERP, CRM, Data, and Cloud teams to ensure seamless system interoperability.

  • Lead and manage a team of integration architects, developers, and support engineers.

Platform Ownership & Operations

  • Own Boomi platform operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

  • Manage integrations across Dev/Test/Prod environments with strong governance.

  • Implement enterprise-grade logging, exception handling, and recovery frameworks.

  • Support production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with application teams, DBAs, analytics, automation, and upstream/downstream system owners.

  • Translate business requirements into integration designs and technical specifications.

  • Review integration designs and provide technical guidance across teams

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business, IT, and architecture stakeholders for integration topics.

  • Manage vendors, system integrators, and platform partners.

  • Support roadmap planning, licensing, and capacity management

Learning Agility & Platform Adaptability

  • Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and adopt new i PaaS platforms beyond Boomi (e.g., Mule Soft, SAP CPI, Workato, etc.) as enterprise integration strategy evolves.

  • Comfortable working in multi-i PaaS environments and transferring integration patterns, API standards, and best practices across platforms
