This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact:
The Customer Service & Logistics Specialist, based in Nantes within the Customer Service Ag & Trading EMEA team, is responsible for organizing transportation and ensuring the proper execution of commodity contracts (oilseeds and grains), primarily via rail flows.
They communicate daily with various departments, coordinate the loading schedule, and ensure smooth operations in collaboration with railway companies, suppliers, and service providers.
- Key Accountabilities
- Receive and process moderately complex to complex customer orders across multiple platforms following standard procedures.
- Receive and process moderately complex to complex change requests following defined policies and procedures.
- Explain information and inform customers about order status, invoices, contract balances and other information needed to complete an order.
- Process moderately complex to complex document requests from customers and confirm final shipping and quality documentation and specifications to customer.
- Escalate complex issues that are not commonly defined or known to higher level staff.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities to improve the order management processes.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics, you are able to work efficiently in a diverse and stimulating environment.
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
- You demonstrate strong communication skills and are able to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
- You possess strong analytical abilities and can manage/evaluate large volumes of data.
- You are fluent in both French and English, written and spoken, and have good IT skills: MS Office, Excel; SAP is a plus.
