This position is in Cargill's food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.

Job Purpose and Impact:

The Senior Capital Project Engineer will plan, support and execute capital project engineering deliverables for Cargill's Eddyville, Iowa facility. In this role, you will be primarily focused on mid to large sized capital projects from design to startup, while overseeing construction management and documentation. We seek a professional who will actively apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering scope.

• Key Accountabilities
• Lead the development of capital project scope, schedule and budget while following project management deliverables and best practices.
• Coordinate staffing and development of construction, commissioning and start-up plans.
• Lead equipment specification and procurement and develop, review and award bid packages for equipment and labor.
• Informally lead, mentor and coach early career engineers through hands-on training and project work.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum of four years of related work experience

• Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to execute large capital projects or portfolio of projects

• Previous experience in chemical, food or related industries
