This position is in Cargill's food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.

Job Purpose and Impact:

  • The Sr. Director, Data & Analytics Reporting

  • Food North America owns the development and execution of data reporting strategies to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role provides strategic leadership to the team responsible for data and analytics reporting development, including quality and accessibility of data insights. The Sr. Director partners closely with key business leaders to understand their needs and sets report governance to ensure consistency, compliance, and data integrity, guiding the communication of complex data insights to effectively deliver business outcomes while nurturing a data-driven culture to improve the value of data for business growth and innovation. In addition, this role requires deep technical expertise to ensure responsible engineering practices across the data stack, including ingestion and integration models, optimizing infrastructure for scalability and performance, and enabling operations in cloud environments.

  • Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the development and oversees the overall implementation of data and analytics reporting strategy to achieve business objectives, providing strategic insights, a future vision and plan, and direction to senior management.

  • Provide technical leadership to ensure the application of standard, responsible engineering practices across the data stack. This includes designing and maintaining ingestion and integration models, optimizing data infrastructure for scalability and performance, and enabling operations in cloud environments.

  • Builds positive relationships with key partners to understand their data needs, provides insights, and oversees reporting solutions address key objectives and are effectively integrated into business processes. Partners with other data related roles within DT&D, functions, enterprise and business to prioritize and deliver key business objectives.

  • Leads all aspects of ongoing efforts to guide and improve data analysis and reporting practices and champions a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Provides strategic leadership on reporting and analytics governance initiatives to ensure consistency, compliance, data integrity, accuracy, and security across all data reporting processes and outputs.

  • Monitors the creation of comprehensive reports and dashboards to ensure data visualizations effectively communicate significant insights and are user friendly, timely and aligned with business needs.

  • Handles the budget for the data analysis and reporting function, ensuring prioritization to optimize efficiency and that teams meet their goals within financial constraints.

  • Leads the development of relevant initiatives to mature data consumption and analytics capabilities.

  • Reviews and approves analytics and reporting tools while supervising the effectiveness of technology for data processing, visualization and reporting.

  • Manages team members to achieve the organization's goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience , typically reflecting 12 years or more of progressive experience in data and analytics.
  • Experience leading teams in data analytics, data engineering, or data science , including responsibility for team performance, development, and delivery of data-driven solutions and establishment of Product Teams.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional data teams , setting strategic direction, and delivering enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, drive data governance, and foster a culture of data literacy and innovation.
  • Ability to travel 25% domestically

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to lean into complex challenges with resilience, curiosity, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale data or analytics transformations , including modernizing platforms, processes, or team capabilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes, with the ability to leverage data analytics to drive operational efficiency and business outcomes
  • Experience driving organizational change through data strategy, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

Compensation Data:

The expected salary for this position is $190,000 -$300,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
