As a Senior Manager of Process Management for the Finance Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE), you will be at the forefront of transforming how Capital One validates its most critical financial data and systems. You will focus on delivering a flawlessly executed testing governance framework that improves business efficiency, ensures auditability, and drives enterprise-wide results.
You will design, implement, and scale standardized testing processes, templates, and best practices while collaborating with senior leaders across the company. Your mission is to move testing from a localized task to a centralized, highly efficient horizontal function across Finance. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each and every time. You have an ability to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role.
What You Will Do:

Establish Standards: Develop and maintain the TCoE Playbooks, including standardized testing templates, governance workflows, and best-in-class sign-off processes.

Strategic Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between Finance business units and broader enterprise Lines of Business (LOBs) to synchronize testing events and manage resource dependencies.

Drive Efficiency: Identify friction points in the testing lifecycle and implement Lean or Agile process improvements to accelerate execution without compromising auditability or compliance.

Influence & Educate: Act as a subject matter expert to gain buy-in from key stakeholders, ensuring the adoption of TCoE standards across the Finance organization.

Measure Success: Design and produce executive-level metrics to measure testing effectiveness, defect density, and process efficiency.

Lead with Impact: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of process managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Who You Are:
We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined professional who operates at the intersection of Product Management, Process Management, and Quality Assurance. You have a proven track record of improving complex processes, saving time and resources while maintaining high standards of data integrity. You are a strong communicator who can influence partners across multiple levels of a dynamic, agile organization.
General Responsibilities:

Creating and validating end-to-end testing governance processes

Driving process improvements that align testing outcomes with financial reporting requirements

Analyzing and correcting data issues within the systems used for test management and defect tracking

Designing metrics and KPIs used to measure TCoE maturity and testing efficiency

Representing the TCoE in large-scale enterprise projects to ensure Finance requirements are prioritized

Managing and leading a high-performing team of process associates
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
-
At least 5 years of experience in Project or Program Management
-
At least 3 years of experience in Product Management
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems

Professional certification in Process Management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) or Project Management (PMP)
-
3+ years of experience in Process Management within a Financial Services or highly regulated environment
-
3+ years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance
-
3+ years of experience in People Management
-
Experience in Financial Services industry
-
Experience in establishing or scaling a Center of Excellence (CoE)
-
Expertise in Agile methodologies and experience with automated testing frameworks
-
Experience in Audit and Compliance process design for financial systems

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Mc Lean, VA: $163,900 - $187,100 for Sr Manager, Process Management
Richmond, VA: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr Manager, Process Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
