This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Calix is looking for a Smart Town Alliance Intern to join our team for the Summer. In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning program within the company. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. This opportunity will provide educational experience in operationalizing a new business with our customer base. This role will provide exposure to various products, solutions, and sales teams. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales, business development, or marketing and wants to optimize new ways to support our customers and enable growth of the Calix product portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring Sales, Business or Marketing student to come into a high growth, fast paced environment and get hands-on experience supporting partners in a SaaS environment. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work with key internal stakeholders to support launch and operationalization of the Smart Town Alliance.
• Develop and evaluate business cases for new features and capabilities.
• Create data-driven materials to assist the Calix sales team with knowledge of our partners.
• Assist with internal process design and documentation.
• Assist with managing and updating the internal Alliance reference materials.
• Work cross-functionally with the product and marketing teams.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sales, or a related field
• Excel and data entry experience
• Salesforce.com or CRM experience preferred
• Comfortable with technology and learning new applications and platforms
• Team player
• Experience in a role or project requiring analytical problem solving and analysis
• Effective communication skills with all levels of an organization
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work effectively in a remote environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast-changing environments
• Microsoft Office software suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to work for the complete summer break (May

• Preference will be given to Juniors or Seniors with previous internship experience

The base pay range for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

San Francisco Bay Area:

21.85 - 28.75 USD Hourly

Select US Metros and States:

19.00 - 25.00 USD Hourly

Other US Locations:

17.10 - 22.50 USD Hourly
