Job Description for Principal Project Manager (AE-4)

• This role involves Technical Program Management (TPM) in semiconductors VLSI design field and working with Cadence customers in leadership role to manage key strategic engagements.
• Collaborate with globalized cross-functional teams while applying effective stakeholder management practices to ensure all deliverables are successfully executed, monitored, and controlled to drive Customer Success and satisfaction.
• Coordinate between Cadence key customer Account teams, Applications Engineering teams and R&D teams to effectively support the customer and to track and manage all key customer requests and critical issues as per the customer timelines. Proactively identify, mitigate and resolve issues.
• Provide leadership, guidance and motivation to the cross-functional team while resolving internal conflicts.
• Manage and set priorities for resources across teams to achieve customer account objectives.
• Create and maintain effective engagement dashboards and issues trackers for effective communication with customers and internal team.
• Create and manage new processes to suit customers’ requirements and use automation tools where applicable to improve overall efficiency.
• Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for teams supporting the customer account.

Position Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer engineering with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience.
• The ideal candidate possesses experience driving technical products and services engagements with customers in the field of VLSI design and design software products.
• Good understanding of IC design flow, SOC verification, RTL or IP development is must.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex programs along with strong communication / presentation, assessment and analytical skill
• Expertise in MS Excel and Power Point, for effective data processing or analysis for presentations and dashboards.
• Project management certification and knowledge of PM tools like Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automation and Power BI to create automated processes is a plus.
• Exposure to Agentic AI and Cadence design tools experience a plus but not a requirement.
• Occasional domestic and international travel is required for this position.
