CACI's Mastodon Design is looking to hire a Systems Engineer Lead in Rochester, NY. This organization specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement.

We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build.

Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems.

We are currently seeking a senior systems engineer to lead our pursuits/proposals, provide technical leadership, be the technical interface to customers, develop concept of operations for our products and provide the systems engineering support on program execution. Ideal candidates will have 10 years of development experience.

Successful candidates will need extensive experience in the following areas:

  • Work with business development/sales to create system technical writeups and basis of estimates for outgoing proposals
  • Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations / use cases for Mastodon equipment
  • Present system architecture to internal senior leadership
  • Work collaboratively across the engineering organization to track and manage system requirements for end systems
  • Develop test plans and procedures
  • Conduct tests and document results
  • Provide technical support for application notes
  • Conduct vehicle site surveys and associated vehicle integration designs for Mastodon equipment
  • Procure and validate 3rd party OEM products
  • Provide guidance and professional development support to a team of system engineers

 Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

  • 10 years of experience or an equivalent combination of skills, education and experience

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering team

  • Experience in new business development including creating Bo Es and technical write-ups

  • Experience working with Product Line Management to add 3rd party OEM products to accessory catalog

  • Experience interacting with customers, business development/sales teams, and program managers

  • There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment you will be required to obtain Secret clearance.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Visio
