We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. We are considering candidates for multiple labor categories. The ideal candidate will be responsible for participating in Information Assurance (IA) system, hardware, and software design activities, with a focus on leading the evaluation of requirements generation, allocation, and tracking throughout the development cycle to ensure supportability for security certification.

Systems Engineer Level 4Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation and design of IA systems, focusing on system security and certification requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and identify issues within existing systems, design and implement new systems, and enhance current infrastructure.

  • Participate in the analysis, design, and construction of next-generation IT systems.

  • Understand customer needs and align those with commercially available IT products to create effective requirements for the development team.

  • Work with a range of technologies, including telecommunications (TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25), operating systems (Windows, UNIX, and Linux), databases (Oracle, MS Access, Sybase), and applications (Tivoli, People Soft).

  • Apply ITIL, SEI/CMM principles to engineering work.

  • Oversee and manage systems engineering teams, ensuring projects are on track and meet customer expectations.

  • Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience as a systems engineer across one or more IT platforms.

  • Strong understanding of DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level I certification.

  • Computing Environment (CE) certification, such as Microsoft OS, Cent OS, or Red Hat OS.

  • Experience with key technologies such as Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, Privileged Account Management (PAM), and MS Exchange.

  • If assigned to Desktop & Enclave Services: Understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling).

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

System Engineer Level 5Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and resolving issues within existing systems while designing and implementing new systems and enhancing existing ones.

  • Participating in the analysis, design, and construction of next-generation IT systems, ensuring they meet rigorous security and performance standards.

  • Understanding customer needs and aligning them with commercially available IT products to create actionable and implementable requirements for the development team.

  • Working with various technologies including telecommunications (TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25), operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux), databases (Oracle, MS Access, Sybase), and applications (Tivoli, People Soft).

  • Applying ITIL and SEI/CMM principles to systems engineering processes to ensure effective and streamlined development workflows.

  • Providing oversight and management of systems engineering teams, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet client expectations.

  • Offering leadership and technical project management support to engineering teams and projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of key systems.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience, OR an associate’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience as a systems engineer across one or more IT platforms.

  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II certification.

  • Computing Environment (CE) certification, such as Microsoft OS, Cent OS, or Red Hat OS.

  • Experience with technologies such as Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, Privileged Account Management (PAM), and MS Exchange.
