Join a passionate team of cyber security engineers dedicated to performing advanced vulnerability assessments for the Cyber Security (CS) Division within the Engineering and Services Innovation (ESI) Directorate. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing national security and protecting critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

Conduct In-Depth Security Assessments: Identify vulnerabilities and propose robust mitigation strategies across diverse technologies.

Master the Art of Penetration Testing: Utilize the complete penetration testing lifecycle to evaluate web applications, networked devices, standalone software, and more.

Stay Ahead of the Curve: Employ proven methodologies and adaptive techniques to maintain a cutting-edge approach.
-
Innovate Continuously: Evaluate and integrate new tools and tactics to ensure your testing remains effective and impactful.

Drive Research and Development: Contribute to ongoing efforts exploring current and emerging technologies to expand our team’s capabilities.

Embrace New Experiences: Enjoy occasional travel (up to 10%) to apply your skills in various environments.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical cybersecurity assessments and/or penetration testing.
-
Proficiency in utilizing tools and methodologies to evaluate network and application-level technologies.
-
Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows internals.
-
Strong technical understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
-
Ability to interpret network traffic using tools like Wireshark and Burp Suite.
-
Familiarity with hypervisor virtualization (VMware, Virtual Box, ESXi).
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to work in a secure SCIF lab setting and collaborate effectively both individually and as part of a team.
Desired:
-
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
-
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent).
-
OSCP or equivalent certification.
-
Basic cryptography knowledge.
-
Basic programming/scripting experience (Python, Java, C/C++, bash).
-
Code analysis and reverse engineering experience.
-
Knowledge of chip-off, fault-injection, and similar hardware hacking techniques.
-
Familiarity with COTS/GOTS radios, SDRs, and RF concepts.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$99,300 - 208,600 USD
