The Opportunity:
The CACI CyberSTAR application development team is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer with Software Development knowledge to join the team.

We are looking for a candidate who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively on a technical team is crucial. The ideal candidate should have a both software development practices and experience and cybersecurity experience.

Responsibilities:

Serves as a Software Engineer with testing responsibilities related to the CyberSTAR application supporting CACI programs in meeting cybersecurity requirements levied by their customers.

Additionally, this Cyber

STAR Software Engineer will:

  • Develop and/or modify the CyberSTAR application code baseline to meet project and user requirements
  • Conduct testing of code created or modified by other software engineers to ensure quality code is delivered to the user base
  • Understand and support containerization activities related to development and deployment of CyberSTAR
  • Proficient in Python, Linux (RHEL, Oracle DB, Oracle Linux), HTML, PostgreSQL, Javascript, VSCode, GitLab, YAML, Powershell.
  • Deploy application updates using Docker/Podman, Azure DevOps, and GitLab
  • Verify DISA STIGs using the CyberSTAR application
  • Participate in Agile practices used within the CyberSTAR development team: daily stand ups, backlog decomposition/refinement, sprint planning, and others
  • Act as primary communication point from user programs concerning deployment, issues and enhancements
  • Assist in removing roadblocks/impediments – technical and process
  • Glean industry-wide development best practices and bring them to the team for consideration

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance post start date.
  • College degree (B.S) Concentration in Cyber Security; experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Able to learn how to develop cyber related applications/tools or conducting cybersecurity scans
  • Professional Experience: 8 years related technical experience
  • Ability to manage work with a user story management tool in the context of software development and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong active listening skills
  • Understanding of agile software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, quality assurance, Dev Sec Ops, and release management

Desired:

  • Experience with Dev Sec Ops processes and/or tools
  • Experience with test automation
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) applications.
