CACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer located in Dulles, VA. The ideal candidate will possess extensive background in all phases of product development including schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware integration for complex electronic assemblies. Successful candidates are self-motivated and work effectively in team or individual situations. They have excellent communication skills and can handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously. We operate in a fast-paced, highly technical R&D environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products; assist in commercialization.
  • Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing; set up and run laboratory simulations.
  • Design testing procedures and coordinate testing. Conduct tests, document results, and develop client presentations.
  • Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other artifacts.
  • Identify and keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.
  • Contribute to design standards and support design reuse.
  • Author technical reports, papers, articles, presentations, and patents.
  • Create test plans to validate a system meets design requirements.
  • Assisting with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • BS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science (ABET/EAC Accredited)
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience in the field of electrical/computer engineering with a focus on Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design
  • Highly proficient in the design of radio frequency (RF), analog, and mixed-signal circuits
  • Experience designing PCB transmission line structures for optimal signal integrity and low EMI (differential pairs, microstrips, coplanar waveguides, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of high-speed interfaces (e.g., SERDES, DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Familiarity with stack-up design and material selection for RF performance 
  • Familiarity with applicable defense industry standards including ANSI, IPC, and ITAR
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for cost (DFC), and design for testability (DFT).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Organized individual with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements for quick-reaction projects
  • Ability to work methodically with minimal supervision

Desired:

  • MS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science
  • Experience with high-reliability, aerospace, and/or IPC Class 3 designs.
  • Prior experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR) and their applications
  • Knowledge of FPGA and/or high pin count BGA breakout routing including stacked microvia and HDI layout techniques
  • 7+ years experience using Altium Designer
  • Exposure to Altium 365 and/or Altium Enterprise Server

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$120,800 - $265,800
