Overview
CACI is seeking highly skilled Chinese polyglots with an active TS/SCI clearance and adjudicated polygraph to join our mission-focused team in Fairfax, VA. As a linguist professional, you will use your language expertise to support critical government operations, working on projects that have a direct national security impact.
Required Qualifications
- Active
TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph
-
Ability to pass an advanced English proficiency test
-
Ability to achieve ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test (Chinese)
-
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in translation, transcription, and/or interpretation
-
In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural context of Chinese Mandarin speaking regions
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based research tools
Language Requirement
Chinese (native or near-native proficiency)
Key Responsibilities
-
Translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level materials (technical manuals, foreign periodicals, audio files) into accurate, grammatically correct American English
-
Provide
simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for a variety of mission-related situations
-
Analyze and report on translated material to support operational objectives
-
Conduct quality control reviews of work performed by junior linguists
-
Maintain and update databases of translated materials
-
Review intercepted data to determine operational relevance
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Previous military experience
-
Familiarity with one or more Korean regional dialects

Strong skills in both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$86,600 - $181,800
