The Opportunity

The Senior Salesforce Developer will support the design, development, integration, and sustainment of Salesforce-based capabilities supporting STMD's CRM implementation and Digital Front Door initiatives. This role focuses on advanced development within a multi-tenant Salesforce environment, requiring close coordination with NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and development teams from other organizations sharing the platform. The position will ensure that STMD solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise Salesforce architecture and governance while meeting mission-specific needs.

Responsibilities

Deliverables may include, but are not limited to:

  • Salesforce custom code and configurations (Apex, LWC, Flows)
  • Integration components and interfaces
  • Technical design documentation and solution diagrams
  • Deployment and release artifacts
  • Support for system testing, UAT, and production releases
  • Knowledge transfer and technical documentation

Required Skills and Experience

  • Advanced experience as a Salesforce Developer in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs, and declarative development
  • Experience working in multi-tenant or shared Salesforce environments
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data models, and role-based access controls
  • Experience working within agile software development teams

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or II certification
  • Experience supporting CRM implementations in federal or large enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Experience Cloud or similar front-end capabilities
  • Experience working with enterprise IT governance and OCIO-led platforms
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $105,100-$231,100

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
