What you’ll do
As a Software Engineer on our Activation team, you will work across the entire Brex stack to build solutions that will quickly and efficiently get credit and risk-worthy customers through the onboarding and activation funnel while decreasing time-to-ramp for new customers.
Where you’ll work
- This role will be based in our São Paulo office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require 3 days per week in the office
- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers across the company to build new features and products end-to-end.

Work alongside user-facing teams like Sales and Support to deeply understand our customers' needs.

Design and implement solutions to improve our customers' banking experiences.

Own problems end-to-end, from user experience and data models to scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics.

Tune and polish features to a high degree of excellence.
Requirements:
-
4+ years of full-time experience with a focus on Backend development

Experience architecting, developing, and testing client-side code end-to-end.

A high bar for engineering standards and a willingness to learn.

Strong written and verbal English communication and interpersonal abilities

Strong curiosity for digging deep into the technical problems, and strong ownership capable of delivering high quality solutions
