Job Description:
As our Terminal Tank Maintenance Advisor, you’ll lead the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of fuel tank maintenance repairs and modifications, ensuring every task meets the highest standards of safety, quality, cost control, and reliability. You’ll be the trusted technical expert collaborating with internal teams, specialized tank maintenance contractors, and wider industry partners to continuously elevate performance.
- What you will deliver• Lead day-to-day oversight of specialized tank maintenance contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Partner with collaborators to embed standard methodologies, support benchmarking activities, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop short- and long-term business plans for a portfolio of bulk fuel storage tank overhauls and repairs.
- Shape and manage contracting strategies; drive contractor performance against KPIs for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
- Manage and forecast budgets; assess financial risks and keep the business aligned through clear reporting.
- Own the integrated schedules for tank overhauls, repair scopes, and inspections — ensuring on-time completion.
- Oversee inspections, cleaning, repairs, painting, and structural integrity assessments.
- Develop and manage scopes of work while maintaining a robust management of change process.
- Conduct self-verification and oversight activities to reinforce a strong culture of safety and quality.
- Lead or support incident investigations and deliver effective corrective actions.

What you will need to be successful• 10+ years’ experience with above ground storage tanks.

Experience in bulk fuel terminals, refineries, or similar sectors.

Familiarity with local and industrial codes and standards for bulk fuel storage tanks.

Strong portfolio management, planning, budgeting, and organizational leadership skills.
-
Deep knowledge of tank construction, inspection, and repair.

Strong communication, collaborator engagement, and problem solving abilities.
-
Experience in root cause and corrective action investigations.

A degree in mechanical engineering, process, construction management, or equivalent experience.
