Job Description:
Position Overview
The Blending Senior Operations Technician is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality blending operations—covering both batch and in‑line blending—while aligning with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. The role supports production schedules, inventory accuracy, and safe workplace practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee daily batch and in-line blending operations.
- Manage receipts and transfers of raw materials and finished products.
- Update and reconcile inventory records for raw materials and finished products.
- Receive bulk additive deliveries and charge them into designated tankage.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE requirements and maintain good housekeeping.
- Serve as Issuing Authority for the Permit-to-Work system.
- Support terminalling operations and participate in crisis/continuity response teams as assigned.
Key Challenges
- Blending efficiency is sometimes dependent on external parties for adjustments outside the jobholder’s control.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum GCE “O” Level with at least2 years’ experience in manufacturing (preferably chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas).
- Strong understanding of blending processes and safety practices.
HSSE Requirements
- Align with BP HSSE policies.
- Complete mandatory training, including the Oil/Petrochemical Safety Orientation Course.
