You will work with

You will be part of a growing hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and a growing team of Service Now skilled professionals at the hub. As a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer in Service Now space will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality, customer-focused solutions across multiple bp business entities. This role focus in Service Now Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), where you will lead the design, implementation, upgrades, and enhancements of complex SPM solutions. You’ll also guide a high-performing team of developers and engineers, partnering with product owners and business leaders to drive transformative Service Now implementations that make a real impact.

What you will deliver:

  • Design, develop, test, and operate solutions for the Service Now platform, products, and integrations.
  • Ensure scalability and reliability through hands-on coding and adherence to software engineering best practices (technical design, reviews, unit testing, monitoring, version control, documentation).
  • Support a fast and agile product release while maintaining high service reliability following site reliability engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to ideas for automation, continual improvement and simplification
  • Apply deep knowledge of bp portfolio management processes—demand, financial, and resource management—alongside Service Now SPM out-of-the-box functionality.

What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications):

  • Strong ability to resolve complex technical issues in application environments.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum or DevOps methodologies.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable server-side software or platforms in complex environments.
  • Expertise in Service Now core applications (ITSM, GRC, SAM, ITOM, CMDB, SPM) and scripting (Business Rules, Workflow, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs).
  • Proficiency in Web Services Integration (SOAP, REST, JSON) and web technologies (CSS, HTML).
  • Familiarity with supporting tools and technologies (LDAP, SSO, Identity Management, MID Servers, automated testing tools).
  • Understanding of risk management and remediation strategies.
  • Exposure to other platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, Mulesoft, SAP, container platforms).

Experience and qualifications:

  • 8–10 years of professional development experience on Service Now, including at least 3 years in technical solution design and Agile delivery with team leadership.
  • Certified ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator or Application Developer
  • Service Now CSA, CIS-SPM (highly desired).
