Job Description:

Responsible for providing engineering support under the direction of a Project Manager for low sophisticated projects and advising contractors and for cross-discipline coordination with other project team members to ensure the technical integrity of the project and to complete assigned work activities across all phases of the project are delivered in accordance with BP, HSSE, and ethical standards and in compliance with all relevant statutory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Operating Cost Competitiveness (OCC) Coordinator

  • Coordinate OCC program with principled governance and progress tracking.

  • Support Project owners with planning, facilitation, and barrier resolution.

  • Monitor OCC performance against targets and maintain reporting dashboards.

  • Analyse monthly Revenue Expenditure (Revex) performance and recommend improvement actions.

Lean Manufacturing Methodology Implementation:

  • Lead Kaizen workshops, facilitate idea generation, prioritization, and implementation.

  • Strengthen 5S deployment through structured audits, mentoring, and follow‑up.

  • Promote Lean behaviours, waste elimination, and continuous improvement culture.

Project / Program Management

  • Handle improvement portfolios in scope of Supply Chain Excellence, align with company business strategy

  • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment, as part of an end‑to‑end Supply Chain approach, and ensure accurate reporting.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Science.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability in a factory/manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in project management and cross‑functional collaboration.

Skills & Proficiencies

  • Strong continuous improvement skills and Lean knowledge.

  • Certificate in Lean Six-Sigma would be beneficial.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Digital savvy (Power Apps, low‑code platforms).

  • Ability to mentor and guide large groups in Lean activities such as 5S, Kaizen, and CI.
