As a Category Delivery Senior Advisor, you will play a critical role in delivering category strategies across the region, aligning procurement activities with global plans, and driving value through collaboration and innovation. You will act as the primary contact for suppliers, manage relationships, and ensure compliance with bp’s safety and risk management standards.
In this role You will:
Category Delivery & Regional Alignment
- Deliver category performance in the region, meeting safety and compliance metrics
- Consolidate demand plans and develop strategies based on local market insights
- Manage supplier performance and raise issues when needed
- Unlock value in line with category management policies
Team Integration & Collaboration
- Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement
- Represent regional interests within category teams and across procurement
- Develop technical capabilities and embrace bp’s values and psychological safety
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Use storytelling and influence to drive outcomes and resolve conflicts
- Act as a trusted advisor, bringing market insights and championing supplier value
Transformation & Change Management
- Support modernization and transformation initiatives across procurement
- Leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency and value creation
- Promote adoption of new processes and technologies through effective communication
Key Challenges
- Working with multiple teams (Category, S&C, FB&T) to provide a single aligned face to the business
- Navigating a geographically dispersed function and managing complex interfaces
What You will need to be successful:
- Knowledge of category management principles (theoretical or practical)
- Strong partner management and influencing skills in complex, multinational environments
- Critical thinking, commercial foresight, and experience driving continuous improvement
- Ability to solve problems, manage risk, and lead change initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including storytelling and engagement
- Experience working with suppliers and navigating organizational complexity
