As a Packaging Engineer you are responsible for the development and implementation of packaging solutions within the assigned Product Area. This includes the management of packaging projects, selection of suitable packaging structures, cost and quality optimization, as well as collaboration with internal and external partners in a cross-functional and international environment.

Packaging Engineering & Development

  • Responsibility for packaging projects within the Product Area (PA) from development to implementation.
  • Selection of suitable packaging structures and ensuring quality, cost, and timing.
  • Contribution to the further development and standardization of packaging solutions.

Project Management

  • Management and coordination of packaging projects in an international environment.
  • Close collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as external service providers and packaging partners.
  • Support for the global roll-out of new packaging concepts.

Cost & Optimization

  • Contribution to cost optimization and efficiency projects in the packaging sector.
  • Evaluation of packaging solutions from economic and technical perspectives.
  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of processes and standards.

Education: Completed studies in Packaging Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical education.

Experience and Know-how: You bring professional experience in packaging or packaging development and possess sound knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and processes. Experience in project management and collaborating with external partners, ideally in the FMCG or industrial sector, completes your profile.

Personality and Working Style: You are characterized by a structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills. You work analytically, act cost and quality-consciously, and maintain an overview even in complex projects.

Interests: You have an interest in technical challenges within the packaging sector, in the further development of sustainable packaging solutions, and in collaborating within interdisciplinary and international teams.

Languages: Fluent in English, German is an advantage
