As a Data engineer you will:

• Drive the design and implementation of application data models.

• Implement data that satisfy the needs of the ME ECU business requirements.

• Work with different types of data, data sources, infrastructure, existing building blocks (e.g. APIs, micro services) in our ECU Engineering data platform.

• Create and operate automated pipelines for data extraction, transformation and integration.

• Implement strategies to ensure defined data quality standards and data linage.

• Be responsible for developing automated integration and orchestration of data architectures and pipelines for manufacturing and engineering solutions and AI model deployment.

• University studies (master's degree or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or a comparable subject.

• Proven knowledge and experience in developing cloud-based solutions.

• Several years of experience in software development with a focus on data pipelines.

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala or Java.

• Proficiency with data-lake providers (Azure Databricks preferred).

• Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools (GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines).

• Familiar with streaming solutions (e.g. Apache Kafka and Flink).

• Knowledge of data management concepts, pipeline deployment and data provisioning.
