The Mobility Electronics (ME) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for power electronic, combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state-of-the-art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.

We at Engineering Assembly and Interconnect technology (ETA) are responsible for solder joint reliability (load capability) and soldering processes development.

Your tasks:

• Mechanical design of tools for mass production

• Manage tool production

• Support development of AIT (assembly and interconnection technologies) for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) based electronic control units

• Support problem solving for series production

• Setting up and evaluating experiments

• Creating reports in English and presenting them to project teams

• Work in cross-functional simultaneous engineering teams, with plants and with product development teams, both locally and internationally.

• Agreement of project targets with customer and regular reporting of project status to customer and management

• Apply project management tools, like quality management, change management, risk management to ensure project success

• MSc in mechanical engineering, or comparable

• Experience in 3D design (e.g. Solide Edge)

• Strong analytical skills, with structured and precise working style

• Flexibility and ability to adapt to new environments

• Good communication skills in English

• Self-motivated team player with strong desire for continuous learning
