Export Control Compliance Specialist

Your tasks

• For its Energy and Building Technology business sector, the Bosch Group has acquired the global HVAC solutions business for residential and light commercial buildings from Johnson Controls. As part of the global Export Control Officer team, you will be responsible for Johnson Control integration.
• Responsible for compliance with global and national export control and sanctions regulations and policies.
• Actively monitor and track proposed rules/regulations changes, communicating impact to the organization, and providing solutions to mitigate export compliance risk exposure.
• Implementation and monitoring of the requirements of the Bosch Global Standards and Procedures within his/her area of responsibility and translation into national processes.
• Consulting for all Export Control related questions in Malaysia.
• Continuous monitoring of business activities as well as review and release of business models or individual transactions.
• Steering and support of internal and external audits.
• Responsible for export license process including determination of license requirement, preparation submissions and monitoring of licenses.
• Review and audit of US/CN Export Control Classification.
• Monitoring of national export control law changes and continuous alignment with the global export control governance team.
• Responsibility to evaluate deemed export transactions.
• Review and update Export Control contract clause/language in agreements, NDA's, quotes.

Your profile

• Bachelors' degree in law, international trade and business, engineering or other relevant areas
• 8+ years of experience with export control.
• Demonstrated ability to advise internal customers on regional and global policies and processes
• SAP / GTS knowledge or equivalent system.
• Ability to work across all levels of an organization (including executive and with cross-functional team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English. Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial and hands-on leadership approach with demonstrated ability to drive results independently.
