Site Reliability Engineer

As a site reliability engineer on our team, you’ll lead the development of more robust systems for the Intelligence Community by building a resilient infrastructure. You’ll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You’ll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of operational systems while supporting your team of engineers and acting as a subject matter expert for your clients.

You Have: 

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems or software engineering roles
• Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications, and using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines built for classified environments, and Agile methodology
• Experience with version control systems including Bitbucket and GitLab
• Experience assisting customers with technical issues via phone or email
• Ability to provide call-in support after hours on a rotational basis
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues quickly and efficiently
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with technologies such as NiFi, Kafka, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, or ArgoCD
• Experience with supporting, troubleshooting, and performing minor maintenance activities for Java Springboot applications
• Experience producing and maintaining technical documentation
• Experience supporting technical review, planning, and discrepancy boards
• Experience with performing Release Management activities

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
