Active Directory Administrator:

The Opportunity:

Be responsible for the operation and design of enterprise directory services. Use advanced technical expertise with strategic oversight to ensure stability, scalability, and security of directory platforms across multiple environments and entities. Apply deep knowledge of Active Directory, strong problem-solving skills, and experience in projects involving multi-forest management, M&A integrations, modernization of legacy environments, and decommissioning of outdated infrastructure. Use skills in Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity management. Automate using PowerShell, troubleshoot authentication issues, and adhere to DoD and industry best practices.

You Have:

  • 2 years of experience administering and maintaining Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022 environments
  • 2 years of experience managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and File Services
  • 2 years of experience handling Active Directory replication, sites and services configuration, and FSMO role management
  • 2 years of experience performing regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of hardware and software using Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Manager, ACAS, or Eval STIG to ensure compliance with DoD STIGs, vendor hardening guides, or industry standards
  • Experience utilizing PowerShell for automation and routine administrative tasks
  • Experience supporting hybrid identity environments, including AD Federation Services and F5 BIG-IP
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving authentication issues for LDAP, Kerberos, and NTLM
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as Security CE Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience administrating Azure Active Directory and single sign-on
  • Experience troubleshooting various Microsoft Windows Server platforms roles and features
  • Knowledge of security protocols, compliance, and best practices related to identity management

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
