Exchange Administrator and Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

Assist with the daily administration and support of Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange 2019 on-premises. Support Proofpoint products, including Protection, TAP, TRAP, EFD, PSAT, and SER. Handle escalated email-related support requests from junior team members. Troubleshoot email delivery, authentication, and security issues across Exchange and Proofpoint environments. Perform PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, generate reports, and streamline operational processes. Assist with the Microsoft 365 Commercial to GCC High transition, ensuring minimal service disruptions. Monitor system health and respond to incidents and service requests related to email and scheduling. Manage and support Microsoft Purview data lifecycle management policies, including retention and disposition policies for Microsoft 365. Support and maintain Microsoft Purview information protection policies such as sensitivity labels and auto-labeling configurations. Manage email and collaboration policies within Microsoft Defender for Microsoft 365, including anti-phishing, anti-malware, safe links, safe attachments, and other email security policies. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

• 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange 2016

• Experience with secure email gateways such as Proofpoint Protection

• Experience in PowerShell scripting to manage and automate Exchange and Proofpoint tasks

• Experience handling email escalations and working in an enterprise IT environment

• Ability to troubleshoot for email delivery, authentication, and security issues

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience managing Microsoft Purview information protection policies, including sensitivity labels and compliance rules

• Experience with Azure Active Directory, Ping Federate, ADFS, or other authentication services

• Experience in SIEM tools such as Splunk for email and security log analysis

• Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API

• Bachelor's degree

• Windows Server, Office 365, PowerShell, or Microsoft Purview Compliance Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
