LIMS Software Engineer:

The Opportunity:

As a LIMS developer, you can design a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment using an enterprise level LIMS platform. We’re looking for an experienced developer like you with the skills needed to develop LIMS software solutions from vision to production ready. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with our laboratory end users and work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop system innovation, enhancements, and end to end workflows to modernize laboratory data management.

You Have:

• 7 years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods

• 1 years of experience in software development with a commercial-off-the-shelf laboratory information management system

• Experience writing source code for new applications, including modules and forms, or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications

• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems

• Experience creating software solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team of testers, business analysts, and subject matter experts

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in software engineering, or 15 years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience designing, developing, and implementing software changes in a STARLIMS laboratory information management system

• Experience with system administration and maintenance, including creating new environments, installing patches and upgrades, maintaining application uptime, and troubleshooting errors

• Experience developing system integrations using REST APIs

• Ability to support automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
