Cloud Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a Cloud Engineer, help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of our client's toughest problems by creating cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs and take advantage of cloud capabilities to improve national security.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with a strong background in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based environments. Using your expertise with programming languages, you’ll develop tools, automate workflows, and support cloud infrastructure deployments. You Have:

• 5 years of experience with cloud architecture or cloud engineering
• 5 years of experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, or Shell Scripting
• Experience in systems engineering or cloud security engineering roles
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to provision, configure, and manage cloud resources, and designing or maintaining secure cloud environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and developing modular and reusable IaC components and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of core infrastructure concepts, security best practices, and operations
• Ability to develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions across complex enterprise ecosystems, troubleshoot cross-platform issues, and implement resilient architectures
• Ability to work in fast-paced scripting and development environments
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub
• Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes or Docker
• Experience with CI/CD
• Experience with Linux and Linux system administration
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related Engineering field
• AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
