Boeing Brazil is seeking an Associate Connectivity and Network System Design Engineer, reporting to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Manager, working out of the São José Dos Campos office. The Associate Connectivity and Network System Design Engineer will join the team in defining and integrating airplane electrical network systems across our commercial fleet. This position will be assigned to work with Connectivity and Network Systems Team which includes Onboard Network System, Wireless Aircraft interface Device, Core Network, Electronic Flight bag, Passenger Connectivity and Satellite Connections.
All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. We are continually evolving the state of the art in commercial air transport.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
Must have a degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering.
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):
Relevant experience with design engineering.
Knowledge of 4/5G network.
Relevant experience within Electrical Systems hardware and software design.
Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.
Knowledge of FAA certification process.
Relevant experience with system design and integration during an airplane development program.
Relevant experience working with cross functional teams.
Some experience with project management methodologies and tools .
Some experience with Model Based Development tools.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
