Boeing Saudi Arabia is seeking a Site Lead for **C-130 Aircrew Training Device (ATD)**to conduct training operations for the Royal Saudi Air Force at King Abdullah Air Base in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role will focus on leading the Training Team to conduct repairs, testing, installation, configuration, upgrading, and assisting in the day-to-day operations for the simulators and training components during mission planning and simulator training sessions. The on-site support personnel will serve as the C-130 Aircrew Training Device (ATD) Site Manager and end-user technical support for the Aircrew Training Device ATD. Additional support shall include ensuring all software security/anti-virus profiles are current, establishing regular backup sessions, and providing over-the-shoulder system support if required.

The site lead will work on improving satisfaction with company services, maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers (RSAF), stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees; this position encompasses a variety of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the team of simulator instructors, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality training to aircrew members.

  • Collaborate with simulator instructors to design, implement, and continuously improve training programs that meet the operational needs of the Royal Saudi Air Force.

  • Regularly assess the performance of simulator instructors and technicians, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development.

  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for simulator instruction to ensure consistency and quality across all training sessions.

  • Promote teamwork and collaboration among simulator instructors and technicians to enhance communication and improve training outcomes.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructional methods, utilizing feedback from trainees and performance metrics to make data-driven improvements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between simulator instructors, technicians, management, and RSAF, ensuring clear communication of expectations, goals, and feedback.

General Competencies:

  • Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.

  • Ensure effective and timely communication throughout the Program lifecycle with the Program team, project sponsors, stakeholders, and Program Management.

  • Receive, manage, protect, issue, track, project packages and shipments, and report the status of project-owned material.

  • Identify and understand risks, issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the project.

  • Customer needs and Negotiation – Ability to interact with customers and suppliers to ensure project coherence.

  • Experienced with issuing and managing security clearances on site.

  • Manage the site to Boeing Processes and Policies, leveraging existing tools.

  • Leadership, Team Management, and Performance – Experience of leading a team in the execution of a time-sensitive project.

  • Organization and Planning – Ability to plan, manage, monitor, and report progress.

  • Lead weekly Program Management Meetings.

  • Build positive relationships with the customer.

  • Collect and respond to issues of facility maintenance reported by members of RSAF or other employees.

  • Collaborate with other functional departments to provide facility input to meet the Customer needs.

  • Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses, and property damage incidents. Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained.

  • Complete weekly report of activities, concerns, and accomplishments.

  • Communication

  • Professionally interact with people at all levels of an organization. Experience of communication in a complex, technically demanding, and highly regulated setting.

This is an open term contract and subject to contract award.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 5 years’ previous work experience is required, with a focus on simulator training or instructional roles.

  • Experience with direct supervision and/or leading a team of direct reports, particularly in simulator raining or instructional environment.

  • Proven track record of developing and delivering training programs or courses, with the ability to assess training needs and outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies to effectively lead simulator instructors in course development and delivery.

  • Basic understanding of backup technologies is advantageous.

  • Basic configuration and maintenance experience with hardware technology is preferred.

  • Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and support.

  • Must have the ability to coordinate activities with RSAF.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Excellent English reading, writing, and communication skills.

  • Excellent leadership skills and the experience and ability to lead a team.

  • Good communication skills in proposal preparation, presentation, clarification, and report writing for all levels.

  • The ability to use Microsoft Professional applications (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Saudi Arabia. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Saudi Arabia law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Saudi Arabia labor and immigration formalities.
