We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Exam Management, Policy & Procedures to join our Account Activation team. This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and manage first line of defense regulatory oversight activities within the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
- Analyze existing legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry best practices to interpret and apply first line of defense compliance requirements.
- Partner with business units to develop, document, and implement procedures and project plans that meet regulatory compliance standards and mitigate risk.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to entry-level employees and business partners on regulatory requirements and compliance processes.
- Support management in day-to-day regulatory exam management, including preparation, coordination, and response activities related to regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct research and analysis of internal Know Your Customer (KYC) records to ensure compliance with regulatory, policy, and procedural standards.
- Act as a liaison between the KYC team, regulators, audit, and compliance functions during regulatory exams, audits, and testing.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide feedback, respond to queries, and facilitate regulatory compliance.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to inform policy recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to document compliance requirements, business processes, and control frameworks.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Financial Services Industry regulations, compliance, operations, auditing, and KYC.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple exams/projects simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare management reports and escalate urgent matters.
- Ability to supervise small teams and projects, provide technical advice and guidance to less experienced or entry-level team members, and counsel operations personnel on compliance with policies and procedures.
- Strong client service and stakeholder management skills.
- Contributes to team objectives and supports moderately complex projects by interpreting regulations and developing solutions for regulatory oversight management issues.
