We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Agile Coach to join our team. This role is located in Manchester.

Role overview:

A Principal Agile Coach helps teams across lines of business; adopt and improve Agile methods and practices to solve complex business improvement problems. A principal agile coach operates at an enterprise level and help solve systematic problems in a structured manner. A coach helps people rethink and change the way they go about development. Agile coaches act as servant leaders to the team, to support and evangelize best practices for agile and ways of working. A Principal Agile Coach possesses experience and expertise acquired by supporting a business line with expertise in cross functional team leadership.

Serves in a mentoring or coaching role only and is not part of the scrum team by providing objective guidance, without personal or political considerations. Designs, proposes and facilitates implementation of long-term strategy across the entire organization before the pilot project. Regularly check up on teams, help them stay on track with agile techniques, and fine tune behavior as needed.

Work with agile delivery practitioners (engineering, product, operations, design) to ensure optimal agile planning and delivery:

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Work with System and solution Architect/Engineering and teams to build and maintain the technical foundation for real-time user Experience validation, feedback, tracking statistics, etc.
• Shares user experience guidelines and educate developers on the best practices of maintaining good UI design. Ensures understanding occurs through change process. 
• Assist test engineers and the System team in User Experience testing and testing automation.
• Attend Iteration Planning, backlog refinement meetings, system demos, and solution demos.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in providing agile guidance (strategic advice, and hands-on guides) to senior stakeholders required. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. 
• Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles, practices, frameworks, and methods. 
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with typical agile work management tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent).
• Understands company organizational model, company structure, and Agile journey history. 
• Effective facilitation and teaching methods. 
• Coaching and mentoring approaches, including the distinction between the two. 
• Ability to drive decisions and resolve conflicts across multiple parties. 
• Strong problem-solving skills.  Experience successfully running agile delivery of varying size and complexity.
