Description

 

• Steers and implements container fee logic in the framework of Smart Container Management with all suppliers for Plant Spartanburg.
• Ensures container fees as well as other related charges in the framework of Smart Container Management are implemented and adhered to by all suppliers.
• Conducts activities in the framework of Smart Container Management for Plant Spartanburg in alignment with Plant San Luis Potosi.
• Aligns effects, results, and measures with internal process partners, including container management organization, transportation, accounting, and controlling.
• Drives the escalation process and expedites issues as necessary.
• Problem solves and implements solutions related to container management and process topics.

• Prepares documentation of status and reports and provides status updates across several levels of BMW management.
• Identifies opportunities/needs within the field of container management

and executes implementation of new ideas.

• Communicates with internal and external customers and interface partners to maximize effective working relationships within BMW.
• Applies proven communication, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Leads and participates in projects associated with assigned area of responsibility.
• Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
• Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management. 

 

Qualifications 

 

• BA/BS degree (preferred);

OR

• AA/AS degree in Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field AND 2 years of relevant professional experience in logistics supply chain management.

OR

• The equivalent of 4 years of relevant professional experience inlogistics or supply chain management.
• 5+ years of professional experience in the areas of container management, packaging planning, logistics planning and supply chain project management, transportation, conception of processes and solutions in logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,SharePoint, Access).
• 5+ years of professional communication skills (written, verbal andpresentation).
• 5+ years of professional organizational skills.
• 5+ years of demonstrated financial knowledge (accounting, administeringfees).
