This position is specifically intended for candidates who are currently enrolled in a technical certificate or associate’s degree program in electronics technology or a related technical field. If you are pursuing an engineering major, please consider applying to other roles that require an undergraduate or graduate degrees.

As part of a hardworking team, technician interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units.
Harnessing Technician Intern Responsibilities:

Building wire harness/cable assemblies (primary responsibility - at least 90% of daily work)
-
Troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies
-
Integrating avionics and ground support hardware into the software and hardware test beds
-
Supporting system testing
During your internship experience, you can expect to:

Required Qualifications:
-
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Currently enrolled technical certificate associate’s program in electronics technology or similar field.
-
Available to work full time while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.

Good understanding of basic electronic theory – voltage, resistance, current
-
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
-
Ability to follow written assembly procedures
-
Ability to learn new skills quickly
-
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
-
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
-
Attention to detail and desire for continuous improvement
-
Ability to thrive as a member of a team.
Hourly compensation for applicant is: $22.00

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
