This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of Supply Chain and Planning Specialists, you will support the design, development, and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

New System Implementation Projects

You will manage a team who's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Evaluate and act on MRP action messages, ensuring material availability to support production schedule

Monitor MRP forecasts, inventory, customer demand, production requirements, inventory transactions and reject material

Evaluate and adjust Planning Attributes within the Item Master to improve planned order quantities and accuracy

Responsible for firming Planned Orders into Manufacturing Orders and Purchase Requisitions

Generate and maintain Transfer Reservations to coordinate cross-site material planning needs

Manage Project Transfers within your assigned scope of work

Authorize Project Transfer requests from other programs

Manage dates on Firm Planned Manufacturing Orders to align with the baseline and recovery production schedules

Manage Material Requirements on Firm Planned Manufacturing orders to drive the correct build configurations

Support Engineering Change Impact Assessments and resulting material planning actions

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of production planning or supply chain experience

3+ years of experience working directly within an MRP system

2+ years managing direct reports

Intermediate skills with MS Office

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Adaptable to changes in business processes and systems

Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong math and analytical skills to solve problems

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or related field

ASCM / APICS certification

SQL

Advanced Excel Experience

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
